The Red Aces moved to the South End this year and while this presented some problems it also presented an awesome opportunity for us to grow and have our own space for displays, smoke bombs, and flares.
Talking of popping smoke..thanks to the boys in Red, the Red Aces popped smoke so many times this season that we almost ran out! In the routing of the Victoria Highlanders, the boys scored 7 goals!
At the game vs Portland Timbers U23, the Red Aces hoisted a tifo. This was the first time that we’ve been able to hoist a tifo on the poles at Les Schwab Sports Park. It was a great success and we can’t wait to do it again next year.
Not only were games at home a success this year but so were the away games. We had Red Aces travel to games in Canada to see LUFC take on TSS Rovers and the Victoria Highlanders. A large contingent also traveled up to Salem for those matches. A huge thank you to Level Up for hosting a few viewing parties.
To top the season off, our very own Adam Smith won Sports Fan of the Year!
We want to say thank you to everyone that purchased a 2017 season membership or that showed up to support the boys in Red. Without the support of the community, the Red Aces couldn’t exist. We can’t wait for next season and what it will bring.
